ABOUT -
A once respected knight of Dalmasca, Basch was ruined when he was framed for the murder of his own king, the death of whom contributed to the loss of Dalmasca in its war against a conquering empire. Unexpectedly liberated from imprisonment by a cadre of plucky teens and pirates, he joins the resistance effort to see Dalmasca's rightful queen restored to the throne. Basch, tired of the waste of war and uninterested in exonerating his own name, would do what he might to see the conflict resolved without plunging the realm into another full scale war.
HOOKS/INTERESTS - Open to both canonmates and crosscanon, aokay with crossing the medium divide. Basch is probably easiest to shove into fantasy flavored setting and/or worlds with some kind of monarchial/imperial structures in place. That said, I'm down to flex an AU pretty far in the name of a meaty thread.
CANON POINT - Any point works for me (including pre-canon/post-canon or speculative 'What If?' timelines). That said, I'm not huge on Revenant Wings and it's been one hundred years since I thought about it, so please don't make me pretend I know what happens.

Basch is thirty six, but could pass for older thanks to all the time he spent emaciated in a dungeon and his general serious affect. Tall, blond, sports a surprising amount of very blond facial hair and regionally appropriate baffling fashion. Has a prominent scar across his left temple that limits his ability to emote on that side. Muscular, but in that slightly alarming muscle-over-no-fat way.

MAGICAL ABILITIES - Basch has access to elemental magicks and some light healing spells (think: Knight-Uhlan combo if you're familiar with ff12's classes). That said, he has one of the lowest magick stats in the game, so I don't play him as being particularly reliant on it.
